Welcome to my webpage!

This page is intended to inform my family and
friends about what is going on in my life.  Enjoy,

Flying is my first and foremost passion in life.  Many of my friends declared me crazy when I told them I wanted to buy an old military fighter jet, but as you can see, I did it anyway!  I ended up buying a 1964

French built Fouga Magister, twin engine fighter jet.  The guns were removed and so were a few other parts.  It took me about 6 months to get the bird flying and painted.  It is probably the nicest flying airplane I have ever flown, fully aerobatic, well balanced on the controls, and carries energy really well.  It has “real” wings with an 18:1 glide ratio – some people claim you can shut the engines off and soar in a Fouga – I haven’t tried that yet…

Traveling, something that satisfies my love for curiosity, is unfortunately something I end up doing less and less.  However, this last year was a resurrection of my traveling with a European trip in the summer and the highlight of my recent travels – 2 weeks in India.  I attended a friend's wedding in New Delhi,

lasting an incredible 8 days with 9 receptions, endless amounts of food and booz, ceremonies and family gatherings.  After the wedding a small group of attendees went on a 6-day trip through Rajasthan. From palaces and castles, to wild life parks and desert camps, India was quite different from what I thought it would be.  A lot of variety across the small part I saw, and a lot less poverty than I remember from pictures in  the media of hungry children some years ago – they really seem to have gotten their economy on the way...
